Well, we did our job. We screened the right flank and let folks know what was going on. We ended-up connecting with two other units, both with eight guys. Word is we are having some success pushing north and east in this AO quadrant.
We counted a moderate force moving west, assuming to reinforce south of Kreminna, but hard to say. Also a contingent headed NE, not sure if bugging-our of moving to help establish a secondary defense lind in the forest. The one going west got chewed-up by artillery. Just too many bad guys for us to get close enough to do a DA (direction action–ed).
Managed to get in a a bit of a tussle to clear the area around Shypylivka. We managed to run right into a firefight between our own guys and the Russians. We were trying to cross a clearing, one by one, and managed to get seen. The Russian fire line saw us, probably assumed they were being flanked, and turned their fire on us. Luckily about 200 Yooks took that opportunity to crash out of the trees and start laying into them. We also joined-in. I bet their faces looked like coon hounds shitting bowies knives when they started getting laid on from opposite directions. Really bad fire discipline on the Russian’s part.
It seems things are moving fast. But man there are a shitload of Russians in this area. However, we saw very little armor, guess they have moved it west to deal with the threat. We pinned two units on the move, a field supply depot, and a vehicle storage area. The vehicle store is right out in a clearing. It will not last long, may already be burning. We got in about an hour ago. Am SW of [redacted]. No sleep since I talked last, but right now too wired to do so. Am eating bread and drinking a few beers.
